Experiencing a real love-hate relationship with concrete these days. What a fantastic yet frustrating material it is.
Say hello to the Young Woodside Social Club. Our neighbor, Jett (on the left) looks like he just stepped off a Crewcut shoot.
It's picture day at school today. And I tried to get you to wear a different pair of shoes. But you insisted on these, even as you described them as "killing my feet".  Oh girl, it's too early in life to sacrifice comfort for fashion. As soon as you got on the bus, I grabbed a couple other pairs of shoes and socks for you and raced you to school. I refuse to let you make the same mistake I made in paris. Band-aids can only do so much for an ill-fitting pair of shoes.

Yep, still completely smitten by your charms...
What wouldn't we do for a big, beautiful vibrant Iris?
Nature: How did I end up here? she ponders. Even if you're talking trash about a hike, Iris, you bring something fun and original to our lives on a daily basis. We adore everything about you. Happy 5th birthday!

Every day is a celebration with you. But today in particular, we celebrate you. Happy third birthday, sweet Juni!

When Juni dances: the music begins to make a different sortof sense, my head gets fuzzy, there is a certainty to the moment, a lightness of heart, a laugh, and then a tear. How lucky am I to be privy to this little pixie's performance?
Scenes from the bus stop. Past the first day of school, it may come across as a bit obsessive to continue capturing every moment before they get on the bus. But I have shed any ounce of shame in this daily activity. There is so much change going on here: it is dizzying as a parent to watch.
